Control Your Computer from Your Phone

The Agivar WeChat mini program lets you send tasks to your computer from your phone and view the final results. When you are away from your computer, you can also pause, resume, or terminate a running task.

1. Before you start

Make sure that:

  • Agivar is installed and signed in on your computer;
  • your phone and computer are signed in to the same Agivar account;
  • your computer is powered on, awake, and connected to the internet;
  • mobile control is enabled in the desktop app.
info

Agivar can be minimized to the system tray, but it must not be fully closed. When the computer is shut down, asleep, locked, or offline, the mini program shows it as offline and cannot send new tasks.

2. Enable mobile control on your computer

  1. Open Agivar on your computer and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then select Mobile control on the left.
  3. Turn on Mobile controls this computer.
  4. If you have more than one computer, click the edit icon beside the computer name and enter an easy-to-recognize name, such as “Office PC” or “Home Mac.” This name appears in the mini program's computer list.
  5. If the page shows Connecting, wait for the connection to finish. If it reports a network problem, check your computer's connection and try again.

The Also end the task in progress option controls what happens when mobile control is turned off:

  • Selected: turning off mobile control also terminates any mobile task still running;
  • Not selected: the task can keep running on the computer, but the phone cannot control it or send new instructions for now.

3. Sign in to the WeChat mini program

  1. Open the Agivar mini program in WeChat.
  2. Tap Sign in.
  3. Select a phone number and grant permission when prompted by WeChat.
  4. Confirm that the Agivar account is the same one used on your computer.

After sign-in, the mini program automatically looks for computers on this account that have mobile control enabled.

note

If the desktop app is signed in but the mini program shows devices from another account, check whether the phone number you authorized belongs to the Agivar account currently used on the computer.

4. Select a computer

The Currently connected device card appears at the top of the home screen. Tap the card or Switch in its upper-right corner to open the computer list.

Computer statuses:

StatusMeaningWhat to do
Connected · IdleThe computer is online and no other task is using itYou can send a task
Connected · BusyThe computer is running another taskWait for it to finish, or handle the current task on the computer first
Waiting for connectionThe computer is connectingWait briefly, then tap Refresh
OfflineAgivar is closed, or the computer is shut down, asleep, locked, or disconnectedRestore the computer, then refresh
Connection failedThe computer is signed in to another account, or mobile control is offCheck the account and switch in the desktop app

Tap a computer with the Connected · Idle status to select it. After switching computers, the mini program restores the most recently opened remote conversation for that computer.

5. Send your first task

  1. Make sure the correct computer is shown on the home screen and its status is Connected · Idle.
  2. Tap the input box and describe what you want the computer to do. For better results, include the app to use, your goal, and how to tell when the task is complete.
  3. Choose a model:
    • Pro: for multi-step tasks, higher-quality results, and complex decisions;
    • Fast: for simple, routine, and frequent tasks.
  4. Tap the send button.

For example:

Open the browser, go to the company admin portal, export today's order data, and save it to the desktop. Download the file only; do not change any data in the portal.

After you send the task, Agivar creates a regular conversation on the computer and begins execution. The mini program shows Running, then displays the final result synced from the computer.

note

The mini program currently shows task status and the complete final reply. It does not show the live computer screen, individual actions, or token-by-token generation. Open the desktop app when you need execution details.

6. Pause, resume, or terminate a task

While a task is running, the input box is temporarily disabled and task controls appear.

Pause

Tap the pause button and wait for the status to change to Paused. A task may also pause automatically if the desktop app detects local mouse or keyboard input. The mini program then asks whether you want to resume.

Resume

When the task is paused, tap the resume button and choose Resume task in the confirmation dialog. The task continues with its existing context.

Terminate

Tap the stop button, then choose Confirm termination. Termination ends the current task. To do something else, tap the new-conversation button in the upper-right corner and send a new task.

warning

Pause, resume, and terminate commands require the computer to be online. If the connection is interrupted, the mini program cannot confirm the latest state. It syncs the result automatically after the computer reconnects.

7. Continue a conversation, start a new task, or view history

After a task completes, fails, or is interrupted, you can add instructions in the same conversation. Agivar retains the earlier context.

For an unrelated task, tap the new-conversation button in the upper-right corner. This clears only the current selection and does not delete earlier records.

On an empty conversation page, tap the history button in the upper-left corner to:

  • view every remote conversation created by this account through the mini program;
  • find records by date, status, and computer;
  • select a record to switch to its computer and restore all messages;
  • delete completed conversation history.

A running conversation cannot be deleted. If its desktop conversation has already been deleted, the mini program keeps the historical result but cannot send more instructions in it. Start a new task instead.

8. Does the task continue after I close the mini program?

Yes. Closing WeChat or moving the mini program to the background does not automatically terminate the task on your computer.

When you open the mini program again, it resynchronizes the computer, conversation, and messages. If the task finished while you were away, the final result is restored and displayed.

9. Manage signed-in mini programs

In the desktop app, open SettingsMobile control to view recently signed-in mini program devices.

If a phone is lost, was shared, or should no longer control your computer, click Remove & sign out next to that device. The selected phone is signed out of the mini program. Your desktop sign-in, other phones, and the mobile-control switch are not affected.

To temporarily prevent every phone from sending new tasks to this computer, turn off Mobile controls this computer.

10. Troubleshooting

1. The mini program says “No controllable computers”

Check these items in order:

  1. The desktop app and mini program are signed in to the same Agivar account;
  2. SettingsMobile control is enabled on the computer;
  3. The computer is powered on, awake, and online, and Agivar is still running;
  4. Return to the computer list in the mini program and tap Refresh.

2. Why is the computer busy?

The computer is running a local task, another remote task, or another operation that uses the executor. Wait for that task to finish. If it must stop immediately, handle it in the desktop app.

3. Why did the task pause unexpectedly?

The task may pause when the desktop app detects local mouse or keyboard input, preventing automated and manual actions from interfering with each other. When nobody is using the computer, tap Resume task in the mini program.

4. The mini program says the computer is offline, but it is still on

Check whether the computer is locked, asleep, or disconnected, and make sure Agivar has not been fully closed. After restoring it, wait briefly and tap Refresh in the mini program's computer list.

5. What happens to a running task when I turn off mobile control?

This depends on Also end the task in progress in the desktop app. If selected, the task is terminated as well. Otherwise, it may continue on the computer, but the phone cannot control it. Turn mobile control on again to resume synchronization and control.

6. Can multiple phones control the same computer?

Multiple phones can sign in to the same account, but one computer can run only one task at a time. Other phones should wait until the current task finishes before sending another one.
